As is tradition at Ampersand Traduccions, in the summer we go on a virtual trip thanks to various aspects of the culture and traditions of each country. After traveling through language , literature and gastronomy , this summer we are going on a cinematic road trip . Are you signing up? In this first chapter, we present to you a (completely arbitrary, yes) selection of some films from German cinema that we like for various reasons. Some have earned a place on our list for being pioneers and revolutionaries in their genres , others for being indispensable representatives of a chapter in history and others simply because we find them beautiful or striking. Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu), FW Murnau, 1922 Nosferatu is one of the Email Address Listundisputed classics of the horror genre and certainly one of the most legendary titles in silent cinema. We guarantee that this adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula will leave you scratching your head. A curious note: Stoker's widow sued the creators because they wanted to save the copyright. The screening of the film had to be stopped and most existing copies were destroyed.
